IS IT A BLOOD CLOT?

DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis)

is a blood clot in a deep vein, often in your leg, and symptoms may appear similar to other health problems, or not at all. If you’re over 60, smoke, and are overweight, or you sit for long periods of time, your risk for DVT is higher. Blood clot symptoms are similar to those of varicose veins.

  • Swelling in one or both legs
  • Pain or tenderness in one or both legs, even if it’s just when you walk or stand
  • Warm skin on your leg
  • Red or discolored skin on your legs
  • Visible veins
  • Tired legs
